I am trying to track down my old car which I regretfully had to sell back in 2002.
PRE141B, then NG-11-TX and later BOC266B was my 1964 BJ8, which was an odd changeover model with the twin front lower lamps and the single rear lamp style of the earlier models at the rear,
In Dark British Racing Green after restoration in 1985 when I took ownership of it from De Jongs in Kaatsheuvel in NL, the engine was rebuilt by Mark Smitt, the Dutch Healey racer from Geldrop, with parts supplied from Denis Welch.
I even used it as my daily transport for a couple of years around 1987, then it became my trophy car and sat pretty well unused and maintained by Mark Billen in Sturmister Newton, Dorset, as I was living in Brasil, Thailland and Sweden for many of those years.
when I married my second wife, I neded cash to build a house in Thailand, so reluctantly ended up selling the car ..... house and wife lasting only 2 more years after that.
it was sold for renovation to gentleman from somewhere around the Truro area in Cornwall, who promised to stay in touch, but never did. Through various house moves I lost his contact details, but however I did eventually find the original green log book for the car.
