The upper color is a very dark almost black meta

The upper color is a very dark, almost black, metallic grey.

The lower color will be a very very light pearl g

The lower color will be a very, very light pearl gray, almost an off-white.

From a distance it will be hard to tell from the c

From a distance it will be hard to tell from the classic big Healey black over ivory white two-tone.

You're wise in fitting the panels before painting the lower color. Often time the swage line on the fenders and doors don't line up perfectly and if you try to paint the lower color with the panels off the car, the assembled line will not be straight. I know this from experience.
