First you have to remove the "cotter" pin. Remove the nut and washer on the bottom and drive the pin up and out of the kingpin. You have to drive the pin out by hitting on the threaded end. Then the fulcrum can be unscrewed from the A-arm with a large screwdriver. This is if you get really lucky and everything isn't rusted together solidly. Quite often you will find everything rusted and have to resort to a sawzall to cut the fulcrum pin on each side of the kingpin.

After doing this 4 times now and about to pull Bugsy IV's Front Suspension off for painting it's not that hard to do. But when you find you can't get that pin out, and everything is all rusted up. A Sawzall carefully applied will get it apart. A major Suspension KIt includes a new Kingpin as well as a new Fulcrum Pin. Time is money. You will find if this is all bound up the metal bushings at the end of the Wishbone will likely need replacing and it is cheaper to buy new than send out to be replaced. And the more expensive A Arms from MOSS cost more for a reason.

Peter Caldwell will provide a TurnKey Reaming Service so the new Kingpin Bushings are correctly sized. Order a new set of Rebuilt shocks freom him while you have it apart. You won't believe the difference in how you car will drive.
