I finally degreed the cam to the proper spec this afternoon! This allowed me to mate the block and head and get things looking proper. I also got the distributor completely locked down and static timed. It feels like I am nearing the finish line as all that remains is to install a handful of ancillaries, most of which I have clean and ready to go. I still haven't managed to track down a proper generator so that may have to wait until next spring. I am hoping I can get the gearbox sorted out over the winter. I am a little intimidated to tear into it, but I suppose there is only one way to learn!
On a completely different note a promising looking TR3 has come up for sale locally-isa. I've got my fingers crossed that it might find its way home with me, but the sane side of me knows I don't need another one. It is nice looking though... and those low cut doors...
