I have two nice finned brake drums. How do I tell if they are early or late?

They should have the part number cast on them. For example, my BN6 front drums are 1B4570. The number should be on the face of the drum opposite MOWOG. You can look up the number in the factory parts manual. If you don't have access to a parts manual post the number here. Someone will look it up for you.

Thanks

1B7526 is the number cast across from MOWOG.

Those are rear drums for wire wheel cars starting with BN6 and late BN4 (Abingdon) all the way thru BJ8.

Thank you so much. They are surplus to all current projects. Nice, clean, do not need turning, cleaning, painting, ...just install. I guess I need to find them a home.

Post them on Buy, Sell, Trade here. There seems to be a good amount of activity on that forum.
