If you're gonna correct me you need to be correct: Our cars are 100's, not 100/4's.
Actually to be completely correct, they are "Hundred's" but wasn't the title of this thread "Looking for a 100-4 engine"

Dan M.

Just to keep the correctness going in order to come up with the final answer, of course there is no apostraphe in the word "Hundreds" smileys with beer
You guys have got to be kidding me...

Well I pulled out my original sales brochure. It referred to the automobile as:

Austin Healey Hundred

Austin Healey 100

Austin Healey '100'

Austin - Healey 100

Looking for an engine, the sales brochure clearly specifies the Austin A90 valve-in-head engine.

One cannot get more accurate than an original sales brochure.

What prize did I win?

I have an engine and also either a BN1 complete trans or original BN2 trans missing the bellhousing in New Jersey if you're interested. It will not be as expensive as the ebay item. Send me an email and we can go from there.

To Vero Beach? Frigid here. As I sit here in Vero, on the lanai a cold ocean breeze air Temp down to 70F and inshore ocean temp 71F. Brrrr.... Poke in the eye is better.

Scott,

I have several rebuildable AH 100 engines and gearbox/overdrives. I am aware of the recent sale price on ebay of just such a combination. I could be tempted to sell some of my units if the price is right. The money raised would go toward restoration of !00's I now own or can purchase.

Happy Healying,

Dean

I would be very interested in one of your motors.

Not interested in one of your engines as I have a spare complete BN1 drive line myself. However if you do have a BN1 that needs a drive line (rolling chassis or nasty boy) let me know.

Cheers,
Dan M.
