Did you wash & wax your Sprite, or drive to a scenic viewpoint?
Fire it up for the first time after a rebuild or make an in-car or drive-by video?
Maybe it's just a nice day and you feel like using that fancy new camera...

My dad has owned the car since 1965. It was his third Healey. Now I am the curator and mechanic

Understood, I personally prefer the term 'steward', as it will never truly be 'mine', instead I am simply doing what is necessary to keep it alive and well (much more so than the previous steward). I do plan to pass the '58 along to my eldest daughter who likes driving it almost as much as I do.
Nice paint job, I'd like to get the BE done in OEW (as it was) with just a bit of blue pearl over it. Come to think of it, since the interior should be red, maybe I should make it a red pearl???

Good afternoon. I am new to the AH Sprite and picked this one out of a field not too long ago. My plan is to restore it to as new as possible and drive it down the Galveston sea wall as soon as I can.

I hope to learn a lot and join the AH crowd.

what did i just buy, this is going to be a project. everything appears to be there except that the motor(948) has a broken crank, bad camshaft and 2 cracked piston skirts, amazingly there is no cylinder damage. gearbox needs put back together any help on where to purchase parts or advice would be greatly appreciated, this car was found in a storage locker completely dismantled hidden in the back.

Danny,
Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your purchase! Start a new thread in the Sprite forum and you'll probably receive more responses. As far as the engine and transmission are concerned, unless you are doing a 100 point restoration you would really like to upgrade to a 1275 (later Spridget) and Ribcase transmission. Also check out the MG Experience and British Car forums for more information. The two big suppliers are Moss Motors and Victoria British, but you can do better by going thru distributers and look for other parts on the buy, sell, trade portion of the forums.

High school friend's Bugeye ('67)! Yet another from the early 90s - around '92. This one has been in the garage for over 20 years since it looked like a car and now...
