“Come Along Little Horseys”
Don't know the history prior to 1971 / 1972
Was stored away in 1972 by the person I bought it from.
Would you believe I found it in a barn a half an hour from my home. I had driven by that old barn many times and never heard a peep from the BJ8. It is singing lots of songs now as I bring her/him back to life.
It will be nice, no great to get behind the wheel again . I first drove a friends NEW '56 AH 100 back in 1956.
Chassis done and is near ready for the engine. Ya Hoo!
After recovery of a medical issue I hope to have it running and likely on the road by late fall 2016
Signed date is April 26 2016 in Kamloops, BC Canada

Thanks Graham for those kind words of encouragement. I have found this to be the case when I received my new 1956 MGA and met so many like minded people. If the rest of the world could experience the good feelings and passion that those in our ,if I may use the word 'fraternity', experience. I am in Kamloops British Columbia , about 150 miles north and east of Vancouver, BC.I have four friends that have just finished or about to finish a 'BIG' Healey right here in my town.It is 10pm where I am and have to be up early in the morning to finish loading MG A and Austin Healey parts that I have been gathering for the past sixty years and taking them to Sidney BC, on Vancouver Island, to a 'swap meet or some would say 'auto jumble'. A four hour drive to the ferry to take us to Sidney ,BCyours in the Sport, Regards Ken Finnigan

Hello Mark, Great subject. Always is. The paint master, at Lordco in Kamloops. BC used his special electronic colour identifier on an original BMC colour chip chart then compared it to some of the modern paints on new cars and came up with this. I wish I would have been able to see the colour on a complete car. Very different then a sample. However, I will see it on my car likely next week or so , end of Feb./2017. I am expecting decent colours, what Healey buffs refer to as "Healey blue over OEW". We will see. If you hear me moan you will know it isn't quite as expected. The paint is PPG , Omni I think. Regards , keep well, Ken

I Ken, we will probably be up to see you this summer. I hope you're feeling better and are able to work on your car. And hopefully the triumphant return of your old lawn art. Cheers Trevor and Kim says hello.

Hi Trevor & Kim, I'm feeling much, much better for the last 3 to 4 months. Thank heaven. We would be delighted to se you both. Too much time is passing and it is so valuable. The finished dash went in this past Friday Apr.13. Looks great as a '65should. But what Healey looks great , either restored or is a new barn find. We will be 'firing up this next Friday Apr.20. Next the carpets and panels go in, then off to Kamloops Upholstery to install the top. Hope to have it at Van Doson. The grass is late this year getting green. It will happen. Regards Ken. and Lorraine.
