I was cleaning up some of my Datsun tranny parts and thought I would remove
the piece of drive shaft still attached to the yoke. The U joints are
staked on with a ring instead of using a C clip. How do these come apart,
do I need to try to break out the staked ring? Chisel?

On another note can I remove the rear shift extension to clean it up without
parts dropping into the tranny housing? I have the manual but it's not
clear what happens.

Thanks,

Mark
