If you are referring to STP, the benefits include the idea
that STP contains quantities of the additives which have
been removed from the latest generations of motor oils.
These additives have been removed because they have
been found to compromise the life-expectancy of
catalytic convertors, but they also are important to the
longevity of your cam and tappets, as previously discussed
both here and across the web.

I am referring to the "V8 stuff" mentioned, which happens to be the
name of a Tomato juice based consumer food product.

Someone already noted that you mix the V8 with alcohol for an after
work libation.
