The go to door seal used to be from McGregor but it’s no longer being produced .
Autofarm in Canada has a very similar product that stays in place but it doesn’t have the fuzzy fur finish so if you’re a purist that may not be what you want .
I used the Autofarm product on my BT7 rally recreation and I’m happy with it so far .

That’s not an oil leak , it’s my patent pending rust proofing system .

Hi Carl,
I was very impressed with the quality of the Fur Flex seals I got from WOOLIES in England.
This style worked best for me but they have a wide variety to choose from.
The grip edge of the seals are made with steel unlike some that are made with cheaper aluminum.

Carl, I used some I had ordered a long time ago probably from Moss. This material is about the correct size as the original, is fuzzy but it has aluminum inner construction which doesn't grip well. To make it work you have to put a lot of clips on the body to hold the door seal in place (which is what the seal itself is supposed to do!).
I also ordered some from Woolies as Peter described above. it is nice as it has steel inner core and seems as if it would stay on fantastic. I didn't use this seal yet as it is larger than the other kind i had (and therby also larger than the original).

If you would like to see it come over for a visit some time, I am east of you in Oostburg, near the lake.

There is also British Car Field Day this Sunday in Sussex (west of Milwaukee and south of you) there are usually some Healeys there and i am planning on attending. if you come I could cut off a piece of each to show you.

Best regards,

John

Peter,
I would like to take your advice regarding the door seal manufactured by "Woolies".
I checked out their web site. However, I have no idea of what door seal would be compatable
with my BJ8. What would you recommend?

Thanks so much for all of your assistance, Bob G.

Hi Bob,

I'm not sure which style your car has but there are some other guys here who own a BJ8 that can help with that.

I would also check other parts houses here and in England.

I went to Woolies to order too, but was not able to figure oput which door seals had the steel inner clamps that hang nice and tight.

Anybody have a model number for that?

Hi, I was wondering if the staff at Woolies might be helpful in selecting the right door seal for our BJ8.
I suppose that a call or email to them might help clarify matters...unless there is someone in "The Forum"
that can advise us.

Regards, Bob G.
