Going mad setting timing!

Do these pictures show the approximate (slightly ahead) correct rotor position for #1 TDC on a 29D engine? (29D R U H 8038)

Any assistance wouold be greatly appreciated.

Hi John,

Your Rotor is way off in that photo compared to mine.

- See the photo of where the Rotor should be lined up on the side of the Distributor body.
- The Rotor should be pointing to the #1 Electrode in the Distributor Cap.

The instructions for "Timing the Distributor" should get the engine running for you.

I attached the "WIRES" photo so you can double check your set up.

Buona Fortuna,
Peter C.

John,
Suggest replacing the problematic riveted rotor with a red rotor preferably from the Distributor Doctor in the UK. The rivet will eventually cause failure and running problems.
