Owned and cared for by original jeweler owner until late 2005 after amassing a grand total of 24,000 documented miles. Garaged in a heated basement garage for most of those years.
Imported to Vancouver area at that time. She is officially a late Series 1, but has the uncovered headlights, twin Strombergs and rocker switches of what is often referred to as a US spec Series 1.5. She had mostly original paint, original interior & drive-train, and factory air. Recently sympathetically repainted due to too many blemishes, with the restoration company owner stating that she was the most rust-free original E-Type he had ever come across.
No more full restorations for me, and Kitty doesn't need one! Most recent work was to rebuild the air con components so that cold air actually exits the dashboard vents, readying her for summer!
