Sold new in Texas, and ended up in the hands of Tim Corwin, a long-time founding member of the pop music group Ohio Express, and now owner of the Ohio auto restoration shop The Bucket Seat. This Triumph sat in the company's front showroom for over 20 years after a light restoration, prior to my purchase. An aftermarket exhaust and Webbers were already installed too, although I do still do have the original Strombergs and intake manifold.

After so much time had passed with little to no use, all of the hydraulics and petrol tank needed cleaning or replacing. I also installed new Vredesteins and Dayton wire wheels.

The gearbox has now been replaced with a newly rebuilt gearbox + A type overdrive. In addition,a new tan leather interior, centre console, burled walnut instrument panel, and aluminum Surrey Top have just been installed.

Many thanks. Yours looks lovely too with a very nice colour scheme. I didn't even give any thought to obtaining a TR5 due to stories that there was no way that one could pass AirCare, not that this would be an issue any more. I gather that there is/was someone who also had a place at Whistler who had his TR5 registered there due to not having to have it AirCared. I have a thing for straight sixes so really enjoy taking mine out for a drive.
