Sorry Dave no body panels , my spare louvered bonnet got sold long ago and by stay rods I assume you mean the prop rods to hold the boot/bonnet up when open . Don’t have those either .
I do have the little brackets that the rods go into .

That’s not an oil leak , it’s my patent pending rust proofing system .

Hello Graham,
This is a longshot but, I have a luggage rack that I would like to mount to my BT7 but I am missing the mounting hardware. It is the boot lid mount type (four Holes).

Thanks

Greg: I looked at post #60 and I think the gist is Graham doesn't have luggage rack mounts, so I'm hoping I'm not cutting the line here.

As far as bolts go, the ones I've seen are stainless pan head Phillips (I think) 3/8-16 (coarse thread) 3/4 or maybe 1" long, with corresponding wingnuts. Any decent fastener store online or in person should be able to help out, or you can probably get them on eBay.

The hard part is the little wedge pedestals to accommodate the curve of the boot lid. BUT, it's your lucky day!

Craig

Hey Graham/Craig,
I was prepared to just use any good bolt and nut, but you are right Craig those are the spacers I am in need of! Are they available (since you mentioned luck day) haha. If so, let me know how I can get them from you Craig.

Thanks Greg

P.S. Thanks again Graham

My 64 BJ8 had a luggage rack . The trunk lids are very thin and I had my metal guy weld plates to the interior to beef it up so the weight of whatever was on the luggage rack didn’t deform the trunk lid . Also people have a bad habit of using the rack as a handle to open/close the lid and lean on it also deforming the trunk lid .
Highly recommend making your lid stronger for a luggage rack .

Hey Graham,
That is a great point! I will look into seeing what I can do to beef it up before hand.

Thanks
Greg
