Things don't always go according to plan ????! While installing new lights in the garage I dropped an electrical box and it landed on the Bugeye's bonnet. Some touchups are now in order!

Project Update

Things are definitely moving in the right direction! The car is painted but waiting for a "cut & polish" and the engine, gearbox and suspension are all in!

I will be working on the wiring, dashboard and interior over the colder winter months with a goal of driving the car sometime in April or May 2023.

Thanks to everyone that has answered my many questions here on the forum and have spent time watching the videos I've posted on my Youtube channel, Ecocnobox Garage!

Looking forward to what the coming year has in store.

Coming along nicely, I sold my TR3 small mouth some years ago but enjoyed it especially after adding a Toyota tranny to a modified TR3 bell housing. One didn't need to modify anything on the car to do so except for, of course, a sacrificed bell housing.I'll check out your 'tube'...

It's always nice to look back at photos of where the project started and where it is now. I have the front suspension in place and couldn't resist digging up the "before" photo to compare with the "after". I have to admit that I'm too impatient to wait until the engine is back in to share these...

It's Like Christmas Came Early

My carburetors arrived today along with the front cover and clutch lever for the ribcase gearbox.

Another step closer to completing the rebuilt 1098 and mating it with the gearbox!

Project Update

Sixty six weeks in to the project and things are starting to pick up pace. Major body work on the main tub is done, my new engine has arrived, brake and fuel lines are run, seat bases completed and much more.

I've also acquired a complete front disc brake setup from a '72 Midget!

Time Flies When You're Having Fun!

It's hard to believe that I'm now up to episode 47 in the weekly videos on the rebuild of my MK1 Sprite. In the latest video I take apart the seats to assess what work needs to be done over the winter.
