Finally started this long term project with a new hood stay. Sanded both new upper and old lower part....then cleared them and installed.

Steering Wheel Column Work

Steering column.removed, ignition switch removed, it will be relocated to dash, and new headlamp dipper and turn signal are on order. Painted satin black.

Heater Work

While the heater core was out for leak testing I checked, cleaned and repaired the blower and ducting.

Tires And Wheels

Four days DHL deliver from my Mother Country. Tires from the other side of the world bought locally around the corner.
And as someone said on Bring a Trailer, "I like Panasports", or at least clones.

Allan, What size wheels and tires did you decide on? I'm considering 15x6 Rota wheels for the Spitfire, but my mind is in no way made up yet..

Bill,I went with 175-70 R13 tires. I figured even lower priced Kenda Tires would provide technology far superior to whatever existed in 1970 period radial tires.
